Meet Dr. Jim Schmidt

As an experienced and passionate dentist, Dr. Jim Schmidt dedicates his life to making every patient’s dream smile a reality. He combines his love for art, engineering, and technology to give each patient the best smile possible. Dr. Jim takes time to listen to every patient’s specific needs, concerns, and smile goals to create a personalized treatment plan – it will never be the same for all patients, not even twins.
Dr. Jim believes each patient deserves as much of his attention as it takes to achieve the smile of their dreams. With over 20 years of smile design experience, Dr. Jim takes everything into account in designing each person’s unique smile design, such as tooth positions and shape, smile arch, soft tissue range of motion, and facial form.
Credentials
Dr. Jim Schmidt attended Saint Norbert College, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry & Biology. He then earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Marquette University. Dr. Jim then took in-depth training and earned his Certification in Prosthodontics from the Ohio State University. He then went on to earn his advanced degree in Orthodontics by completing more comprehensive training at the State University of New York at Buffalo, focusing on treating mild to complex malocclusions. Dr. Jim is one of three orthodontists in the State of Wisconsin to hold dual, speciality degrees in prosthodontics and orthodontics.
